Statements For the Record

Mister Speaker, I rise with a heavy heart in support of Representative Omar’s resolution honoring the victims of the devastating shooting that occurred last Wednesday at Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis.

Mr. Speaker, Republican’s big ugly, shameful bill is back on the House floor today.

Congressional Republicans and President Trump are pushing a massive transfer of wealth from American families in need to the wealthy elite of this nation.

Mr. Speaker, impeachment is the most consequential tool Congress has for upholding our duty to defend the Constitution and protect the American people from a president who has betrayed his oath and engaged in illegal conduct.

Mister Speaker, I rise in strong opposition to H. Res.

Mr. Speaker, Minnesota and our nation suffered an unthinkable tragedy in the early hours of January 14th, when our state’s elected officials were attacked in politically-motivated shootings.

Mr. Speaker, I rise in strong opposition to H.R. 4, the Recissions Act of 2025, because this bill undermines and outright destroys long-held, bipartisan American values at home and abroad.

Issues: Appropriations & Budget

This week the Republican Majority in the House of Representatives decided that they know better than the residents of the District of Columbia what their local government needs.

Mr. Speaker, I rise in opposition to S.331, the HALT Fentanyl Act.

This bill is not a solution to the proliferation of Fentanyl Related Substances (FRS) in America. We need legislation and investments in health interventions that will save lives while taking meaningful action to stop illicit drug sales.
