(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – Today, as part of the Biden-Harris Administration’s Investing in America agenda, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced that the State of Minnesota will receive a $200 million Climate Pollution Reduction Grant. Minnesota is one of 25 grantees, representing the largest investment to date in community-driven solutions that tackle the climate crisis, reduce air pollution, advance environmental justice, and accelerate America’s clean energy transition.
Mr. Speaker, I rise in opposition to H.R. 7700, the Stop Unaffordable Dishwasher Standards Act, and H.R. 7637, the Refrigerator Freedom Act. These bills are the latest Republican attempt to manufacture a crisis and reject commonsense rulemaking from the Biden administration.
