America is a nation of immigrants. I am disturbed and disappointed by President Trump and his administration's constant attacks on immigrants and immigrant communities. In Minnesota, we faced months of the Trump administration's Operation Metro Surge, which subjected our community to racial profiling on a mass scale, assaults on our streets, and kidnappings from people's homes. I am committed to protecting all Minnesotans, and especially our immigrant communities.

I support the admission of fully vetted refugees and strongly oppose divisive efforts to demonize immigrants and turn our backs on vulnerable people. At the same time, our broken immigration system is long overdue for reform.
