Information regarding my stance on Veterans' issues.
Congresswoman Betty McCollum (DFL-Minn.) released the following statement in observance of Memorial Day:
"This Memorial Day, we remember and reflect upon those who have lost their lives protecting our nation and defending freedom at home and abroad. Since the Civil War, Americans have set aside the last Monday in May as a sacred day to commemorate our fallen heroes and reflect on their sacrifices."
Mr. Speaker, my dear friend, Frank J. Indihar, MD passed away on October 23, 2016. He leaves a legacy of both medical excellence and committed service to my community, the state of Minnesota, and our nation.

Congresswoman Betty McCollum (DFL-Minn.) applauded a $100,000 grant to the New Brighton-based Upper Midwest Community Policing Institute to train law enforcement officers to de-escalate situations involving military veterans in crisis.
