McCollum Applauds Rwanda's Decision to Release Peter Erlinder

Washington, DC - Congresswoman Betty McCollum (MN-04) issued the following statement, regarding a Rwandan High Court's decision to grant St. Paul resident Professor Peter Erlinder bail based on concerns for his health. He will be able to return to the United States once the required paperwork has been filed.

"The Rwandan High Court's decision to grant Professor Erlinder bail is the first good news we've had since this ordeal began last month. Although there is remaining paperwork that must be completed, I look forward to seeing Professor Erlinder reunited with his family here in Minnesota. I will continue to monitor this situation until Professor Erlinder has safely returned to the United States."
