Congresswoman McCollum Statement on Oklahoma Tornado Tragedy

Washington D.C-- Yesterday’s devastating tornado that hit Moore, Oklahoma is a national tragedy. The significant loss of life, young and old, is heartbreaking and we mourn with all of those who have lost loved ones. For the injured and the many families who have lost their homes, my prayers are with you.

My colleague and friend, Rep. Tom Cole, represents the families of Moore and he has my full support for any federal aid or relief needed by his community and constituents. This is a time for America to come together and for Congress to provide all necessary emergency relief. We need to ensure this community can heal and rebuild.

May God bless the families of Moore, Oklahoma and may we all work to support them with both prayers and action.
