Washington, DC – On Saturday, George S. Pillsbury – former state senator, philanthropist, business leader, veteran, and civic leader – passed away at his home in Wayzata, Minnesota. “George Pillsbury was a kind, thoughtful, and extremely generous political and civic leader in the best tradition of Minnesota. I am particularly grateful for George’s leadership and long commitment to women’s reproductive health issues. His many contributions to the quality of life in Minnesota are deeply appreciated by me, and I feel a true debt of gratitude. I wish to extend my most sincere sympathies to Sally and the entire Pillsbury family.”
