Washington, DC – Tonight, Congresswoman Betty McCollum (MN-04) issued the following response to President Obama’s State of the Union address.

“President Obama focused on the core issues the American people are concerned about, and he inspired me. We must keep the economy strong, create good new jobs, and give the poor a path out of poverty. Congress must stop the political bickering and get to work governing for the people, not special interests. I am determined to stand with the President on climate change and to stop gun violence, protecting our children and communities from senseless suffering.”

Congresswoman Betty McCollum serves on the House Appropriations Committee.
