Washington, DC - Congresswoman Betty McCollum (MN-04) issued the following statement in response to the Department of Labor's announcement that the economy gained 162,000 jobs in March 2010.
"The latest development on jobs is certainly hopeful, and this is good news for our economy. This is the largest job gain in a single month in the past three years. Although these are positive results, we must do better, especially for many Minnesotans who are still struggling to find work. By continuing to build on the successes of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, we can help fight rampant unemployment and create hundreds of thousands of jobs."
Congresswoman Betty McCollum serves on the House Appropriations and Budget Committees.
