U.S. Rep. Betty McCollum Demands Answers about Raid at Bro-Tex Inc. in Saint Paul by Federal Agents, Including Reports of Violence Against Demonstrators

November 21, 2025

SAINT PAUL, Minn. — Congresswoman Betty McCollum sent a letter to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and FBI Director Kash Patel on Friday demanding answers about a raid at Bro-Tex, Inc. in Saint Paul on Tuesday by masked federal agents, including those who appeared to be affiliated with the FBI and various DHS agencies.

“I remain strongly opposed to the Trump Administration’s efforts to deploy masked federal agents to terrorize law-abiding members of our community who are simply doing their jobs and caring for their families,” said Congresswoman McCollum.

“Reports of violence against peaceful demonstrators during the immigration raid that took place at Bro-Tex on Tuesday are deeply concerning,” added the Congresswoman. “Everyone in the United States has a constitutionally protected right to free speech, and federal agents must allow protestors to freely and peacefully express their opinions, including opposition to the actions of their government. Additionally, my office is aware of reports that several vehicles were removed during this operation. Federal agencies are denying involvement in these actions, but these individuals deserve answers about the location of their personal property.”
