McCollum Statement on the 19th Anniversary of 9/11 Attacks

September 11, 2020

Congresswoman Betty McCollum (DFL-Minn.) released the following statement today on the 19th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks:

"On the 19th anniversary of 9/11, we remember the tragedy and pain our nation felt on that day, and remember the victims of the attacks and their families. They will forever be in our minds and hearts. The passing of nineteen years has not diminished our devotion to honoring the victims and continuing our vigilance to never allow such an attack to happen again.

"Today it is especially important that we take a moment to pause and reflect on how our nation came together and recommitted to ourselves and the world our shared principles of freedom, democracy, and equality for all. Now more than ever, we need to draw on our collective strength, as we face another dark moment in our history with the loss of hundreds of thousands of our fellow Americans from COVID-19. Let us come together to take on this crisis with resolve and determination."
