Congresswoman McCollum to Host Town Hall Meeting on Wednesday, April 24
Congresswoman Betty McCollum (DFL-Minn.) will host a town hall meeting on Wednesday, April 24 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at White Bear Lake Area High School-North Campus in White Bear Lake, Minnesota.
“Democrats leading the U.S. House in the 116th Congress are focused on passing meaningful legislation to strengthen our economic security, improve health care, protect the right to vote, and keep our communities safe from gun violence,” Congresswoman McCollum said. “Regrettably, when the new Congress began, our nation was already two weeks into President Trump’s government shutdown. By holding federal workers and the American economy hostage in an attempt to fund a wall that the vast majority of Americans do not support, he damaged our national parks, endangered Americans’ health and harmed small businesses. Through strong congressional oversight, the new Congress is holding the president accountable for the harm and hardship inflicted during the shutdown. I look forward to this opportunity to hear directly from my constituents about their priorities, and share my perspective on how the actions taken by the president are impacting Fourth District families and communities. I hope to see you on April 24!”
