February 22, 2019
Press Release

Please note: This event has been postponed due to the weather forecast showing potentially unsafe driving conditions. A new date and time will be announced as soon as possible.

Congresswoman Betty McCollum (DFL-Minn.) will host a town hall meeting on Saturday, February 23, 2019, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at White Bear Lake Area High School-North Campus in White Bear Lake.

Ahead of the town hall, Rep. McCollum released the following statement:

“Democrats leading the 116th Congress are focused on passing meaningful legislation to strengthen our economic security, protect the right to vote, and keep our communities safe from gun violence,” Congresswoman McCollum said. “Regrettably, when the new Congress began, our nation was already two weeks into President Trump’s government shutdown. He held federal workers and the American economy hostage in an attempt to fund a wall that the vast majority of Americans do not support. The shutdown damaged our national parks, endangered Americans’ health, and harmed small businesses. Through strong congressional oversight, the new Congress is holding the president accountable for the harm and hardship inflicted during the shutdown. I look forward to this opportunity to hear directly from my constituents about their priorities, and share my perspective on how the actions taken by the president are impacting Fourth District families and communities. I hope to see you on February 23!”

The town hall meeting is free and open to the public. No RSVP is required.
