43rd Annual Congressional Art Competition Announced!!

Each spring, the U. S. House of Representatives sponsors a nationwide arts competition to recognize and encourage artistic talent in the United States and in Minnesota's Fourth Congressional District. The 43rd Annual Congressional Art Competition is open to all high school students either attending school in or residing in the Fourth Congressional District (Ramsey County and Washington County).

Entries must delivered or received in the mail no later than 5:00 PM on Friday, April 12, 2024. Only one submission per student is allowed. Complete guidelines and entry forms may be found below.

Students are encouraged to include a written paragraph discussing their work. Students’ artwork will be judged by a panel of Fourth Congressional District Resident Artists who have generously donated their time.

All entries will be displayed in the Atrium Gallery of the Schmidt Artist Lofts as part of the 2024 Spring Saint Paul Art Crawl, April 19-21, 2024. All entries will also be displayed in a digital exhibit here on my official website, mccollum.house.gov.

The winning entry from the Fourth District will be displayed as part of a national exhibit in the U.S. Capitol. Entries by the runners-up will be displayed in my congressional offices in Saint Paul and in Washington, D.C.

Minnesota is a national arts leader, and this contest will allow the creativity and talent of Fourth District students to be recognized. Please contact my St. Paul office at 651-224-9191 with any questions.
