Women's Economic Security Forum
Tuesday, February 18 at 10:00 a.m., Congresswoman Betty McCollum (D-MN) will host a forum on women’s economic security at the State Capitol. The economic issues facing our country are particularly affecting women and their families. Low wages are a struggle for all American workers, but especially for women. Women in Minnesota still earn a mere 80% of what their male counterparts make. In addition, other issues like paid family leave, affordable health care, quality child care, and retirement security are important issues for women in the workplace.
Congresswoman McCollum and her guests will discuss these issues and the steps policymakers can take on the federal level to help improve the economic security of all women in Minnesota and their families.
